Words fail me as I try to describe the beauty of the moments I encountered at Rachel and Jeff’s wedding. “True love” comes to mind, but that wouldn’t do it justice. The way their gaze met and held each other, undistracted, unwavering, as the world around them disappeared is rare. It was a look of complete trust, unabashed adoration, mutual respect, and ecstatic joy, all wrapped together in one synchronized gaze. The trials of life will come for them, as they do for everyone. But that look tells me they are in it together through thick and thin and this day was just the beginning.
