I remember way back when I first started shooting with 35mm film cameras and quite a bit of experimenting. It was the thrill of learning something new, pushing the boundaries and perfecting your craft. Now 17 years, 300+ weddings and 1000s of shoots later in one sense, it’s become more old hat, but in another sense, it’s still an endless challenge of creativity.

It was a quaint little hotel up above the Fjords in a small forgotten town somewhere in Norway where Rachel and I first met. I photographed her in a field of wheat and ever since then she has always been there to pose when I needed some inspiration. Last week we got together to do a few photos for her Instagram as well as a couple promo photos for Wild & Free Supply.

Rachel is one of the hardest workers I know, a fellow entrepreneur, and a kindred spirit who always leaves me inspired. =) I got to photographer her wedding about 10 years ago, and now she and her husband live on a little country ranch and have two boys the same ages as our two boys. I hope we stay friends for many more years. 😉
