May & Pat | Carondelet House, Los Angeles, CA

Right before Christmas I had the JOY of photographing this amazing couple. When May and I talked over a year before about photographing her wedding at the Carondelet, we just clicked. As she laid out her vision for an intimate party with their closest friends, and a theme of “bringing our stories together” I got so excited. This wedding was so beautiful and thoughtful, I just have to tell you more:

May created an experience using all of the senses…through the eyes, the smell, and the taste. Visually, they added the red lantern in recognition of Bride’s Chinese culture. They created a custom scent to be diffused in the background. For their cake they had two different flavors for the finale.  Another sweet touch was that the bride will walked down the aisle to Etta James’ “At Last” in acknowledgement of the groom felt that he waited 53 years for the bride. At the end of the night, the Bride changed into a modern interpretation of the Chinese Qipao in recognition of her heritage.

May and Pat, it has been such a joy and honor capturing your priceless memories! You two are so kind, gracious & fun to be around. May God richly bless your lives together! Enjoy a few of my favorites below, or you can see a few more here!
