I had such a fun time hanging out with the Hernandez family and getting to know their little guy! I just LOVE capturing families in their home – it’s so magical to look back on photos of doing the little normal things because those are the building blocks of that season of life. Those are the moments that make your family who they are. <3

I asked Elisa and Miguel to share with me their favorite things about this season of life with their boy which you can read under the photos below. Thank you all for having me out to photograph your precious family! Enjoy the photos!

We like to play with the train set because we can see his problem solving skills and help him manage his frustration. I love when he snuggles with us, chases the dog, dances, and runs up and down the hallway.

We love going on outings (park, zoo, gardens) because it’s a chance for fresh air, movement, and seeing new and interesting things.

We love to read together because it is a calming time and we get to know more about his interests. 

I especially love when he gets a mischievous look on his face before testing out a new skill. 

I love how Elisa explores with our son, takes him on outings, and that they can be silly together.

I am so thankful for Miguel’s patience, consistency, and calm demeanor.
